Dr Anand Savanth

Visiting Researcher (+PhD Student Alumnus)

Anand Savanth graduated (ECE) from Visvesvaraya Technological University, India and completed his masters degree in Microelectronics at the University of Liverpool where he received the Sir Robin Saxby award. He interned with the Silicon Group at Arm R&D, Cambridge in 2010 and worked as a Principal Research Engineer on low power custom circuits for Arm embedded and applications processors, with a focus on custom and analog-assisted circuits for IoT platforms, until 2022. He completed his PhD with the University of Southampton in 2021 and is now a visiting researcher.

Related Technologies

Pipistrelle-4

Pipistrelle-4, taped-out at the end of May 2017, is the latest in a series of low-energy sensor-system chips. The chip includes circuit/system ideas from multiple PhD research students and industry, focusing on an energy and performance optimised SRAM bitcell, low-area overhead energy-efficient flip-flops and standard-cells. The chip was taped-out during Yunpeng Caiā€™s internship at Arm Cambridge, and includes circuits to validate his novel flip-flop design which has now been patented. The prototype chips were received at the end of September 2017, and tested successfully.
