Centre Co-Director, Arm Fellow and Lead Embedded Architect

Simon Craske, Fellow and Lead Embedded Architect at Arm, is currently responsible for leading the evolution and maintenance of Arm’s real-time and microcontroller profile embedded architectures. Based at Arm’s headquarters in Cambridge, Simon has spent nearly two decades working with the Arm architecture, developing features across the entirety of Arm’s 32 and 64-bit processor portfolio. Simon brings to ECS a wealth of experience in technical leadership, design, and verification, of processor intellectual property, ranging from Arm’s tiny Cortex-M0 processors, through to large SIMD engine implementations. Simon is the holder of over fifty granted US patents spanning CPU architecture, verification and implementation, and returns to ECS after many years, having previously been an undergraduate at the department.
