Center Co-Director, Arm Fellow and Lead Embedded Architect (and ECS alumnus) Simon Craske delivered a guest lecture for students on the second-year Computer Engineering and third-year Advanced Computer Architecture modules. Simon’s talk, entitled “Architecture to IoT” covered aspects of CPU design, verification and deployment, followed by a quick touch on Arm’s business model, and then a rapid run through their Cortex-M roadmap and the associated trends with a slight focus on Machine Learning/Digital Signal Processing capabilities. The talk was attended by around 30 ECS students.
