Ben Fletcher starts internship at Arm Research

Having spent the first eighteen months of his PhD at the University of Southampton, Ben Fletcher has recently started an internship at Arm. He will now be predominantly based at the Arm Cambridge office, within the Devices Circuits and Systems research group, whilst completing his PhD.

His research focusses on ‘low cost 3D integration for the internet of things’, more specifically using inductive coupling as a low cost, reliable alternative to through-silicon vias, for realising 3D-ICs. At Arm, he will be further developing his ideas into robust IP and taping-out a 3D demonstrator chip that integrates the novel inductive coupling technology alongside a low power Arm core.
