Arm-ECS Research Centre Biannual Review Meeting

A team of 9 researchers from Arm Research, Cambridge visited the university today for the second Arm-ECS Research Centre biannual review meeting of 2019. They were joined by 17 academics and researchers from the ECS (University of Southampton) side of the Arm-ECS Research Centre to discuss research progress in existing areas of collaboration (represented by our Current Projects), as well as identifying new strategic research areas for future activities.

The meeting was held at the University’s Boldrewood Campus, which houses our centre for innovation, business, and education in maritime engineering and engineering sciences. The full-day’s meeting saw 12 presentations from ECS researchers, and 3 from ARM researchers.

The meeting also saw Simon Craske take over from Dr David Flynn as Co-Director (Arm) of the Research Centre. The Centre would like to sincerely thank David for all of his support, hard work, and significant contributions over the past decade, and look forward to his continued input in his ongoing role as Visiting Professor at the University of Southampton. We look forward to working with Simon over the coming years.
