Dr Mark Vousden

Lecturer

Mark Vousden received the Ph.D. degree from the University of Southampton, in 2016, with a focus on numerical micromagnetic modeling of solitonic structures in helimagnets, and the deployment of simulation software to virtualized high-performance computer resources. He has contributed to the “Partially-Ordered Event-Triggered Systems” (POETS) EPSRC project with the University of Southampton, Imperial College London, University of Cambridge, and Newcastle University, where he investigates novel high-performance computing architectures for solving problems in condensed matter physics and other fields. His involvement in the POETS project includes modeling the POETS hardware as a graph in software, in order to deploy graph-like descriptions of applications intelligently. His research interests include condensed matter physics, high-performance computing, and place-and-route problems.
