Exceptional Arm-ECS Researcher Shortlisted for TechWorks “Young Engineer of the Year” Award

Dr. Mahmoud Wagih, a Research Fellow in the Arm-ECS Research Centre and the University of Southampton’s Smart Electronic Materials and Systems Research Group, has been selected as a finalist for the “Young Engineer of the Year” award in the TechWorks Awards 2021.

The Young Engineer Award publicly celebrates and promotes the efforts of young professionals at the early stages of their careers. The nomination follows on a FEPS Dean’s Award for Early Career Researchers for exceptional contributions to the Faculty, as well as two Best Doctoral College Research Awards.

Mahmoud’s research has led to over 50 publications including several best paper/presentation awards. He has contributed to the EU EnABLES project, the Wearable and Autonomous Computing for Future Smart Cities EPSRC Platform Grant, and undertaken internships at Arm.
