International Symposium on Many-Core Computing a Success

Arm-ECS Academics Host International Symposium on Many-Core Computing: Hardware and Software

The International Symposium on Many-Core Computing: Hardware and Software took place in Southampton UK on Wednesday 17th and Thursday 18th January 2018.

Attendance was by invitation only, and featured invited presentations and panels from international researchers and designers working on the theory and practice of many-core computing, from both academia and industry. Attendees included researchers from the Arm-ECS Research Centre based at both Southampton and Arm, and the programme included a number of talks from Centre researchers:

  • Stephan Diestelhorst, Arm Research, “Benefits, Trade-offs, and Challenges of Pushing Heterogeneous Cores Together
  • Geoff Merrett, University of Southampton, “PRiME: Power-efficient, Reliable, Many-core Embedded systems
