Ilias Vougioukas Passes PhD Viva

Congratulations to Ilias Vougioukas

Congratulations to Ilias Vougioukas, who has successfully defended his PhD thesis entitled “Efficient and Secure Context Switching and Migrations for Heterogeneous Multiprocessors”.

Ilias was based at Arm Research in Cambridge for the majority of his PhD, and had an industrial supervisor (Stephan Diestelhorst) as well as two academic supervisors (Prof Bashir Al-Hashimi and Dr Geoff Merrett). Dr Merrett commented:

“I am delighted to hear that Ilias’ viva went well, but never had any doubt over the quality of his work and understanding, and ability to orally defend it. Congratulations!”

Ilias has accepted a position as a Senior Research Engineer at Arm in Cambridge, where he will continue to be a member of the Arm-ECS Research Centre and contribute to collaborative projects.
