The Arm-ECS Research Centre (www.arm.ecs.soton.ac.uk) at the University of Southampton is offering a 3.5 year PhD Studentship. The Arm-ECS Research Centre was established in 2008, and is an award-winning research collaboration between the University and ARM. The PhD student will be based primarily at the University of Southampton, UK (but will also spend some time at Arm Research, Cambridge), and be supervised by researchers at both Arm and the University of Southampton. Applications must be received by early May in order to start in October; however, you are encouraged to apply early, as we will award the scholarship as soon as a suitable candidate has been found.

The studentship offered includes both tuition fees and an annual tax-free stipend of at least £15,609 pa for living costs (UK students only, please check the eligibility rules at www.epsrc.ac.uk/skills/students/help/eligibility).

Candidates who have, or expect to attain by the end of the summer, an excellent qualification in Electronic Engineering or a related discipline are encouraged to apply.
