Prof. Bashir Al-Hashimi

Professor of Computer Engineering and his research expertise is energy-efficient, reliable and testable digital hardware. He has received a number of international awards for his research including 3 best paper awards. He was elected Fellow of the IEEE (2009) for contributions to design and test of low power integrated circuits and systems. He was elected Fellow of the UK Royal Academy of Engineering (2013). He directs the Pervasive Systems Centre www.psc.ecs.soton.ac.uk.

He is ARM Professor of Computer Engineering, and Co-Director of the ARM-ECS research centre http://arm.ecs.soton.ac.uk/. He is Associate Dean (Research) of the Faculty of Physical and Applied Sciences.
